Aleš Valenta, the legendary Czech freestyle skier who won gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City with his groundbreaking triple flip with five twists, was a guest on the Energies podcast. Valenta, who has not only an Olympic gold medal but also victories in StarDance and the Athlete of the Year poll, shared his life experiences, challenges, and newly discovered interest in molecular hydrogen.

In the interview, Aleš Valenta talked about the challenges he had to overcome throughout his career, not only in sports but also on a personal level. He discussed the falls and failures that helped him get back on his feet and pushed him forward. “We only learn from falls. If we always do everything perfectly, we will never progress. Only mistakes move us forward,” says Valenta, who believes that failures are key to growth and success.

Valenta also touched on the topic of sports psychology and intuition, which he considers a decisive factor in critical situations. He believes that intuition comes with long-term experience and self-awareness, which is crucial for making quick and right decisions on the sports field.

Recovery and Molecular Hydrogen

In today's hectic world, where people chase success and often forget about their own well-being, recovery is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Aleš Valenta shared his recovery methods and explained why he became enthusiastic about molecular hydrogen.

Molecular hydrogen caught his attention due to its scientifically backed efficiency in muscle recovery, improving energy levels, and overall vitality. However, it was his wife who introduced him to it! “I had it at home, but I wasn't interested in it at first, even though what I learned in the first meeting was interesting,” says the Olympian. “But my wife, who works with our daughter in figure skating, started drinking hydrogen water, took the tablets, and suddenly felt better, recovered much faster, and came to me saying they ran out of it and asked if I could arrange more!”

At his second meeting with the management of Ostrava-based H2 Global Group, a long-term collaboration was established, followed by meetings with leading hydrogen experts, and Valenta even read through some of the hundreds of studies. “I started taking it in larger quantities and discovered that it really has beneficial effects on me, especially in terms of recovery.”

Hydrogen, known for its strong antioxidant properties, helps with recovery and improves overall physical condition. Valenta regularly shares his experiences with this innovative method, inspiring not only athletes but also the general public to take care of their health and explore new, effective ways to improve quality of life. “Molecular hydrogen is not a medicine, but it is an accelerator that helps you stay healthy,” adds Valenta.

Personal Life and Family

Aleš Valenta, although known primarily as a successful athlete, is also a loving husband and father. He and his wife Elen have two children, with whom he enjoys spending his free time. For him, family has always been and still is a strong foundation and a source of motivation.

“Lifestyle – what does that even mean? The fact that I exercise and eat healthy, those are kind of clichés, which are undoubtedly important. But our lifestyle is primarily shaped by family, friends, our environment, and the activities we engage in,” says Valenta.

His life story is an inspiration to all those who aspire to success while also seeking balance between career and personal life. Whether on the snow, in the air, or in the realm of health, Aleš Valenta continues to prove that with passion and determination, extraordinary things can be achieved.
